Gangster Firoz Ali died in a road accident while four persons, including two policemen, suffered injuries. All this happened when UP Police was escorting the gangster to Lucknow from Mumbai via road.
As per the report, the car hit a Blue Bull on National Highway 46 when it was passing through the Guna district (Around 200 km from the capital Bhopal) of Madhya Pradesh causing it to overturn. This resulted in the death of the infamous gangster Firoz Ali.
Lucknow Police CommissionerSujeet Pandey said – “When they reached Chachoda police station in Guna, the car hit a blue bull and overturned”.
Firoz Ali, a resident of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh was accused in over ten cases of loot and dacoity, the UP police told. When the Uttar Pradesh Police received the inputs of him being hidden in Nalasopara locality in Mumbai, then a team of Thakurganj police consisting of sub-inspectors Jagdish Pandey and Rajeev Singh left for a raid. He was being escorted back to Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow when the incident took place.
As per the sources, Firoz’s relative who lives in Lucknow were also present besides the policemen and the driver.
The incident caught people’s attention with many started calling it “Vikas Dubey 2.0” because of high resemblance with the case.
This year in July only, Vikas Dubey a history-sheeter and gangster turned politician was detained from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, was killed in an encounter by UP Police when he tried to flee after a road accident as per police statements. In that encounter also all the four police persons in the vehicle got seriously injured and lost consciousness as per the affidavit submitted to the Supreme court by the Uttar Pradesh government.
